Monica A Hand
This is not sensible, safe or even sane.
It is an asteroid plummeting towards
a field of Amaryllis.
Had I any sense,
I would orbit some other solar system.
I swear, I am no nincompoop just a fool
broken, howling at the long night moon
pretending not to see your thorny lattice.
undeterred by crappy dice,
my desire is an out of control star
hurtling through space
towards your fiery universe
despite its warning, winter flowers.
